House Party salutes Greg “Cambellock Jr” Pope, who passed away 28.1.2010.

A member of the Soul Train Gang and Locking Dance group, The watts writers “Creative Generation” before joining the Original Lockers in 1973. Greg created several steps, movements, handshakes and routines associated with Locking.

I had change to meet an interview this legend during his visit to Finland last year in the SUPERFUNK-event.

RIP Greg Pope, your laugh and movement will live forever!

We have been feelin´the soul and sound of singer/songwriter Marvin Belton (B.1968) for numerous hours lately. So it´s about time to give some shine to his way. Haling from Detroit (surprisise, surprise), he´s most known for his work for Detroit label Ferrispark, run by non other than Scott Ferguson. He has also gave voice to Theo Parrish´s side project The Rotating Assembly, and you can hear him on The Dynamite Soul´s, "Back in The Middle".

However, House Party salute´s Marvin Belton with warm heart and respect.
